Open House Recap!
This past Thursday, October 27th, we hosted an open house introducing our new workspace, and the event was a resounding success! It was a day filled with fun, excitement, and new connections. Guests were invited to stop by at any point during the open house to meet the MSU Hub team, learn who we are and what we do, and explore the collaboration spaces.
People from all over campus and beyond came to see our new space. “[One member of the inspiring DFA (Design for America) student teams] attended the open house yesterday. I happened to be upfront when she walked in. She came into the space, looked around, her jaw dropped and she exclaimed, “This is so legit!” Gave her the tour, she asked great questions, she hung out and engaged,” said Hub team member Jerry Rhead.
During the open house, our Director, Jeff Grabill, also hosted a discussion on the Radius project with deans and faculty from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, College of Arts and Letters, and College of Music.
Visitors were encouraged to answer questions that were posed on our writeable spaces, and we got a lot of unique feedback!
One visitor was overheard saying: “This place is awesome. I want to move in with my bed,” and Chris Long tweeted: “Congratulations to
@grabill and the @MSUHub team on an excellent, energizing & yes, catalyzing #MSUhub Open House.”
An estimated 350 to 400 people came to check out our new space and talk with us.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made the event so successful!
