On May 11, the Teaching and Learning Spring Conference showcased more MSU educators and technologies. The highlight of the day was the lunchtime Twitter #edchat, with many using Twitter for the first time and engaging in a fast-paced digital dialogue about teaching and learning.
Overall, the conference was well attended, well received, and appreciated. At a large, multinational institution like Michigan State University, it can be difficult to meet other educators outside of one’s department and college. It can also be challenging to employ innovative teaching methods without a community of practice and support. This conference connected many educators and provided resources and ideas for another year of teaching and promoting student success. We look forward to continuing the conversation and community around teaching and learning!
We thank our presenters, our engaged participants, our collaborators, the conference organizing committee, and especially the Hub for the use of its bright and creative space for our meals and #edchat.
If any conference presenter would like to share their presentations, we’ll be posting them on the AAN website for ongoing access. Simply email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to share.
